Isabelle Poirier biography

Isabelle Poirier received technical training at the Ateliers de danse moderne de Montréal (LADMMI) and majored in Art History at the Université de Montréal. She has danced for various independent choreographers and companies, including the Marie Chouinard dance company, with which she danced for eight years, and then became coach and Assistant Artistic Director for two years. She currently teaches at Concordia University Dance Department, LADMMI, l’école de danse contemporaine, RQD and O Vertigo Dance Company. She is a coach and contract performer for the Marie Chouinard company and dances for various independent choreographers, including Chanti Wadge, Sylvain Poirier, Michèle Rioux and Catherine Tardif.

Isabelle Poirier currently teaches the courses Techniques de danse contemporaine MAN 2 and Atelier d'interprétation MAN 2 for the remedial cohort.
