David Macanulty biography

David Macanulty is a percussionist/multi instrumentalist working in Montreal. His formative years were spent in Vancouver where he studied African and Asian music including Javanese gamelan, Indian classical music and Japanese shakuhachi. These were followed by an exploration of African and Latin drumming techniques. He continues to work with musicians in many different genres from punk rock to country and has performed extensively in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Most recently his interest in the accordion has led to the formation of a world music trio. Since many years, he is an accompanist for professional dance classes in Montreal.
